Is Downtime Needed After a HydraFacial®?
One of the best reasons to get a HydraFacial® is that there is no downtime. Patients can get treated on their lunch break and be back in the office within an hour with no side effects.
Unlike many other facial treatments, there is little to no residual redness or swelling to give away that you underwent a cosmetic treatment. This is a major advantage compared to traditional chemical exfoliation or similar procedures.
How Long Do Results From a HydraFacial® Last?
You will see results immediately after treatment. These results will initially last four to six weeks, and your results will last longer as you undergo repeat treatments.
How Do You Maintain HydraFacial® Results?
Patients should avoid washing their face for six hours after treatment to give the serums time to settle into the skin. Patients should also avoid exfoliation treatments, chemical peels, and ablative laser treatments for two days.
To ensure your results last as long as possible, use sunscreen frequently and avoid direct sunlight when possible.
How Often Should You Get a HydraFacial®?
For optimal results, patients should get four to six treatments spread out every two to four weeks.
After that, patients can undergo HydraFacial® treatment as often as they feel comfortable doing so to maintain their results. Most patients find that one session per month works well for them.
