CoolPeel® CO2 Laser Treatment Procedure

The CoolPeel® laser treatment can be performed with or without a topical anesthetic. However, many doctors provide a numbing cream to ensure their patients are comfortable throughout the procedure.

The CoolPeel® treatment uses the SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser to treat the skin without unnecessary heat. Only the Tetra can deliver high energy in short pulses to resurface the skin with reduced heat and improved safety.

One of the main benefits of CoolPeel® is that there is no need for downtime. You are free to return to work and other obligations immediately after your treatment. However, sun exposure should be avoided.

For the first day or so after treatment, you may experience redness similar to a sunburn. It is important to keep the skin hydrated, as it can easily become dry. However, do not cleanse the area for 24 hours.

This treatment is performed to remove unwanted facial scarring, such as acne scarring. No additional scarring will develop after this treatment.
