IDEAL IMPLANT®

Posted August 31, 2018 in Breast Augmentation

When deciding to get breast implants, women choose between saline or silicone gel implants. Implants can give you fuller and perkier breasts as well as restore a woman’s breasts to their pre-pregnancy size. The type of implant you choose is one of the most important decisions to make when planning your breast augmentation surgery. While some women feel silicone breast implants may not be safe, others worry that saline implants will look and feel unnatural. The IDEAL IMPLANT®  combines the benefits of both saline and silicone implants providing you with a natural look and feel to your breasts.

How Can the IDEAL IMPLANT® Benefit Me?

IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implants are filled with saline fluid. An outer silicone shell holds the saline inside two separate chambers using a series of silicone shells nested together. This allows them to look and feel close to that of silicone implants. Since the implant is filled with saline, ruptures are immediately noticeable and pose no health risk. IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implants are FDA approved for women over the age of 18 and will give you peace of mind knowing that you can look great without worrying about complications such as silent rupture of a silicone implant or wrinkling from a standard saline implant. IDEAL IMPLANTS® offer other benefits as well, including:

  • A youthful appearance
  • Easy to remove
  • High rupture strength and low rupture rate
  • Lower rate of capsular contracture
  • Natural-looking breasts
  • No costly MRIs
  • Saline is safely absorbed if rupture occurs
  • Smaller incision

What Is the Difference?

Although each type of implant has its advantages, there are many differences between the IDEAL IMPLANT®, silicone, and saline implants. While silicone implants are FDA approved for all women, you can experience a silent rupture (undetectable except through an MRI) that may delay removal. IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implants do not require an MRI to determine a rupture. If the implant does rupture, the saline will be absorbed by the body without affecting the breast or surrounding tissues. On the other hand, traditional saline implants can cause wrinkling or make the breasts have a balloon-like appearance that may seem unnatural and unappealing. IDEAL IMPLANT® provides natural-looking results to give patients the breasts they have always desired.
